For over 100 years Strathmore Artist Papers has been providing artists with the finest papers on which to create their artwork. Traditionally, Strathmore’s fine art supplies have included manufactured artist papers for personal and commercial art, including sketch, drawing, charcoal, calligraphy, tracing and watercolor, as well as illustration and museum board.

Strathmore learned many years ago, however, that art extends beyond the activity of drawing and painting to include crafts, gift making, and other projects. Consequently, it is our goal to expand our art supplies catalog to include design paper to inspire the creativity of every art enthusiast, from school art supplies for kids, to blank greeting cards for the hobbyist, to 100% cotton Bristol for the professional artist. Most recently, we have introduced new papers with the amateur photographer and digital artist in mind.

The Strathmore thistle first appeared on our products in the late 19th century as a symbol of the company’s commitment to making quality printing and art paper. Although the appearance of the thistle has changed over the past century, the quality of Strathmore Artist Papers has remained second to none.
